One of the mandates of this shard is to keep up with the newest technology. This includes making the server fully compatible and fully optimized for all future versions of the framework software.
To that end, I will be making various changes to optimize the server for the soon-to-be released C# 4.0. Thankfully, the public beta has allowed us to run the server using .NET Framework 4.0, and become fully compliant and optimized before its release.

In addition to optimizations, the new features improve readability, give more compatibility with external applications and libraries, and simplify generic source code. Also it finally allows our development team the flexibility to perform functions on generic code, without explicit definition. For anyone interested, please read the Wikipedia article here
